Easter Weekend

Maddie and I went to The Woodlands for Easter Weekend and Les was meeting us there after his show in Dallas. On, Good Friday, Gemaw and Gepaw drove in town to see us and celebrate the holiday. We met for dinner then went to the Good Friday service at the church and then Saturday morning Maddie got sick. She woke up with the stomach bug and Gemaw and Gepaw had to head home because they didn't need to catch this virus. We were so sad to see them leave but we understood.
Maddie finally felt better on Easter Sunday so we dressed her up in her dress to hunt eggs and do her easter basket. She looked so cute despite the fact she felt so bad. :( We took our family pictures in the yard and then went inside for lunch. After lunch, Nana and Maddie dyed eggs for the first time on the patio. Maddie just loved dropping the eggs in the color and kept saying "more Nana." She loved Easter even though she was sick and we loved being there with Nana and Papa.

Happy Easter Morning! Look the Easter bunny came too!

Maddie in her Easter dress! So beautiful!

Wwwweeeee.......

Nana, Papa and Maddie

Aunt Rae Rae and Maddie

The family.

Nana got a really neat kit for dying eggs because you were able to draw with a wax crayon before you dyed the egg. When you got the egg out of the color, you could see what you had drawn or written. So, Maddie did her signature scribble.

Maddie was watching so intensely at Nana dying her eggs.

Here is the finished product! You can kind of see on the green egg that it says Maddie. Aunt Rae Rae did that for her.

Overall, we all had a great Easter weekend and just wished that Maddie had not gotten sick but that is okay. She was a trooper. We hope you had a great Easter too. :)

Mommy & Daddy at the ACM Awards

We went to Vegas the first weekend in April because the Randy Rogers Band was nominated for Vocal Group of the Year at the ACM awards. We got to hangout on Saturday and do some band obligations then the awards were on Sunday night. But on the first day there in Vegas, my camera decides to break and not work so Les and I walked down the strip to find a camera store. We bought a new one so luckily, i have pictures from the trip. Take a look!

This is us out on the strip taking our first pic with the new camera.

Just playing the slots!! It was fun playing with Mimi. We are so thankful that she felt well enough to come and be with us. God is amazing! Thank you for the prayers.

Nicole and Keith got out of their limo right in front of us. She is so tall and he is so handsome!

Les is on the carpet. I was able to take a peek and snap a quick picture.

Our guys getting interviewed on the carpet.

The Band Wives!

We took a quick limo ride to another casino to eat dinner b/c our casino was packed with people from the awards.

We were hanging out backstage at a party and got to meet Carrot Top. He is such a nice guy.

Oh Tucker!

Aunt Rae Rae got a new puppy about a month ago. His name is Tucker and actually Maddie says it really well. She thinks that Tucker is a baby and she wants to hold him and carry him around but he is a puppy so he bucks around too much. He loves to lay and play with Buddy too. Take a look at the pictures of Maddie and Tucker.

Maddie decided to get in the kennel with Tucker one afternoon.

She recently figured out to climb through the doggy door and go back and forth. I am not sure that this is a good thing.

She already looks like a little mommy with her baby and puppy. Poor Tucker!

Updates in our life

Maddie has been making this lovely face when you say the word "cheese." Its almost like a donkey face and the more we laugh, the more she does it.
Maddie and her baby getting ready to head out to dinner with Aunt Rae Rae. She was such a little mommy and i had to capture it on camera.
This is such a sweet picture of Maddie and her baby. She looks so big too.
Playing babies in the kitchen with her stroller, blanket and baby. She is really into playing babies and we have to feed them, bath them and put them night night. She is role modeling after what we do with her. Its so cute.

This is Aunt Rae Rae's new little puppy, named Tucker. He is so cute and tiny!

Les changed Maddie's bed about a week or so ago into the toddler bed. She was getting where she could almost climb into her crib and so we decided to try the big girl bed. The first night, Les and i went in there so much just making sure she was still in the bed. She slept all night and woke up talking then Les got her up.

Since its been the weekend, she has done really good too and now she gets up and plays in her room when she wakes up. She was so quiet on Saturday morning and when i peeked in on her she was playing doll house. Then, this morning i heard a scratching on the side of my bed and i woke up to her little face. She had her lovies and climbed into bed with me for about 10 minutes then it was time to eat.

I can't believe how big she is getting and how much fun this stage is that she is in besides the fits. I love how she talking more and playing with babies. She keeps us busy and laughing!

Look at Daddy!

On January 14, Randy Rogers Band was on the Letterman show. I was so estatic to see our guys on the show and they did awesome! Well, Maddie fell asleep early so she missed the show but we watched it the next day. She couldn't quite figure out how Daddy was on the tv and not here with us. She pointed him and out then danced in front of the tv. WE are so proud of the guys and now we just heard they are nominated for VOCAL GROUP OF THE YEAR AT THE ACM AWARDS!!!!! God is truly blessing us and the band.
Maddie and Daddy love to play drums together even though it can be really loud. One weekend when Nana and Papa were in town they showed off their talent. My mom was able to capture it on her camera. I have to say that Maddie might have inherited some of her daddy's talent.

Maddie had her 18 month check up on Friday. She is doing great according to the doctor with all her developmental stages. She is sleeping through the night ( of course), no bottles, talking a lot, following commands, and feeding herself. We just need to work on getting the pippy. She loves her pippy so this will be hard.

She is weighing only 20 lbs. 4 oz. She is still in the low area for her weight but she has always been small and petite.

The pictures below are from the last few weeks of our busy lives. We had Thanksgiving at our house this year because Rae had to work so that was a treat to have our family here. We ate then decorated my whole house for Christmas, then we went to a Randy Rogers Band show which was awesome! Les turned 33 too right before Thanksgiving so it has been a fun and busy time for us.

We hope you are having a great Holiday Season and we wish you a Merry Christmas!

Les was teaching her that she had pockets and teaching her to put her hands in them. It was so cute!

Daddy and Maddie on his birthday. She is really starting to like opening presents.

Maddie loves to help in the kitchen with whatever you are doing, so she was helping Nana put all the rolls on the cookie sheet.

Happy Thanksgiving Day!

Maddie found her new way to stand so she can see what is going on in the kitchen.

Aunt Rae Rae and Nana are tempting Maddie with the yummy food.

Maddie was enjoying her Thanksgiving Lunch.

Our little family!

Oh, Nana....

Maddie was enjoying the DJ music before our guys went on stage.

Momma & Maddie

Maddie playing with Daddy's drum sticks at Cowboys.

Uncle Randy is showing Maddie that the guitar is cool too because she LOVES the drums!

We tried to put Maddie on the New Braunfels version of a train but she had nothing to do with it. Oh well....

Maddie and I went Christmas shopping at La Cantera but before shopping we had some supper. Then she played with the light in her darlin' little reindeer outfit from Nana!

It was a great day of shopping just moo and me. We were very successful and ready to head home! She is such a fun shopper which could be dangerous when she is a little older!!!
