Easter Weekend

Maddie and I went to The Woodlands for Easter Weekend and Les was meeting us there after his show in Dallas. On, Good Friday, Gemaw and Gepaw drove in town to see us and celebrate the holiday. We met for dinner then went to the Good Friday service at the church and then Saturday morning Maddie got sick. She woke up with the stomach bug and Gemaw and Gepaw had to head home because they didn't need to catch this virus. We were so sad to see them leave but we understood.
Maddie finally felt better on Easter Sunday so we dressed her up in her dress to hunt eggs and do her easter basket. She looked so cute despite the fact she felt so bad. :( We took our family pictures in the yard and then went inside for lunch. After lunch, Nana and Maddie dyed eggs for the first time on the patio. Maddie just loved dropping the eggs in the color and kept saying "more Nana." She loved Easter even though she was sick and we loved being there with Nana and Papa.

Nana got a really neat kit for dying eggs because you were able to draw with a wax crayon before you dyed the egg. When you got the egg out of the color, you could see what you had drawn or written. So, Maddie did her signature scribble.

Overall, we all had a great Easter weekend and just wished that Maddie had not gotten sick but that is okay. She was a trooper. We hope you had a great Easter too. :)
