Maddie Turns 2

Maddie got an early birthday present from Nana & Papa! She was so excited to have a sand box to play in with all her toys. She tells you, "sit down, socks and shoes." She loves to put her feet in the sand. It is giving us lots of fun memories!

Maddie turned 2 on May 14! We began the birthday celebration on her actual birthday by going to La Hacienda with Rae and Andrew. It was so fun and wonderful to sit outside and listen to music. She got an adorable doll that can go in the bathtub with her. It even has a hooded towel and booties. She loves to take a bath with her doll from Rae Rae and Andrew.

We gave her a little diaper bag that was filled with little baby things. Now she can really play mommy with her baby.

My little mommy
Maddie had her birthday party on that Saturday and it was a "beach/ summer themed" party BUT the rain came too soon. We moved the party inside and still had a great time with a few adjustments. She didn't know the difference and loved opening her presents this year and she went around hugged each person too. It was so cute!

Mimi and Opa gave her this cute table which is in our kitchen so she can sit and eat supper there and have a tea party!
The girls played in Maddie's room with the dollhouse since we couldn't go swimming outside.
Yes, we bought a pinata......Maddie wasn't quite sure about it and kept saying "its a mess" when the pinata was breaking apart. She was wanting to go vacuum it up with her little vacuum.

The Shreveport gang got Maddie her little car! She screamed and screamed when she saw it in her living room. She gets in it and drives around the house and says, "i be right back!"

Putting makeup on Aunt Rae Rae while we were waiting for supper.
Maddie's final present was a surprise to us because Andrew went ALL OUT and got her True Religion jeans. Yes, the kind her daddy wears so now she is really a rock star baby!

Mommy Lawless

Maddie is learning her name and our last name. The other evening, we were in her room and Buddy was chewing on a doll house piece or something so i said, "Buddy Lawless, quit it." Well, she looked at me and said Buddy Lawless. I explained that Lawless is our last name so i said, "like Maddie Lawless." She waits a minute and then looks at me and says, "mommy lawless." She now says it ALL the time when she can't get my attention, she says it. I laugh so hard and she says it more and more. Enjoy!

The Wedding

I am not sure when i am going to learn that when i upload pictures on my Mac, it post them backwards such as in the order of the pictures. So, my story will be told in reverse order. This is Rae and Mom on Mother's Day. She is the best mom we could ever ask for and I am striving to be like her with Maddie.
The previous night, we went to Brady and Brie's wedding and Les was a groomsmen. It was so beautiful and fun. Take a look at our party pics.

Our friend, Kacey caught the bouquet at the wedding so we quickly texted her boyfriend to inform him of the news. :)

Just hanging out before the reception started.

Maddie and Damien walking around and playing together.

They are so cute together and love to play together too. They will grow up to be the best of friends.

Going to the Zoo

We took Maddie to the San Antonio Zoo because we were still on break from school. We met up with Elizabeth and Kelly with their kids. It was fun but really hot so we didn't stay too long but long enough that Maddie got to see the flamingos, birds, fish, bears and elephant. It was such a great zoo to visit.

Driving Range

Well, school was cancelled for about 10 days because of the swine flu so.....we decided to head to Rolling Oaks to have some fun. Les and Andrew hit golf balls while the girls ate pizza and watched. Maddie loved being out there and kept saying "yeah...daddy....." everytime he would hit the ball. Then, she decided it was her turn. We brought her little plastic golf club so she got to practice. Daddy is already getting her in training to be his buddy on the golf course.

This is Maddie's new pose when she is just standing around. We are not quite sure where she picked this up from but its so stinkin' cute!
