Maddie Bug

We just want to share some pictures that Mimi and Opah emailed me off their camera. They are random but they show just how much Maddie Bug is loved and how we can't seem to put her down. Hope you enjoy them!
Nana, Momma and Maddie are dancing and singing at the Randy Rogers Band concert. Maddie sure looks like she is enjoying hearing her Daddy play the drums.

Opah was at the concert with us too and we think he had more fun holding his granddaughter than watching the band. He doesn't get to see Maddie as much as he would like so he was enjoying his time with her.

Momma, Maddie and cousin Chloe were swinging on the back porch after the girls did their photo shoot. We all love to swing!

Mimi was squeezing in her last hug with little Maddie before they had to head back home.

Aunt Kristi loves Maddie too. Its hard to believe that her little girl, Chloe was once that small. They seem to grow up so fast. We are finding that with Maddie. She is already almost 6 weeks old. Wow!

Nap time....

Maddie was exhausted after her wedding yesterday and out to eat lunch today. She was fussing so i turned her over and she went right to sleep. She loves her womb bear which is laying next to her. When we turn it on.....she knows its time to sleep. I am a little nervous laying her on her tummy but she can hold her head up so i guess she is okay. She is sleeping her in pack n' play in the living room so we can keep a close eye on her. This is the first time she has ever taken a nap like this before. She seems real happy. I am a tummy sleeper so she takes after me. :)

Maddie's First Wedding

One of my old roommates, Arika, got married last night in Lockhart. We were able to attend the beautiful wedding and show off our new daughter. All my roommates from college were there and other friends i had in college. They thought Maddie was so sweet and adorable. Maddie was all dressed up for her first wedding/ reception. She took a bottle during the ceremony so she really only attended the reception but she did great. Nana and Papa were there to help take care of her so Les and I were able to have fun with our friends.
This is me, Arika and Lauren. Lauren was my pot luck roommate in the dorm years of college.

The proud Nana and Papa holding Maddie so mom and dad could eat their dinner. Maddie had on a long light blue-green dress. She looked like an angel baby.

Jaclyn and Johnnie are holding Maddie at the reception because they love babies. Jaclyn was one of my roommates in college for our last year of college. We have become good friends with them since then. Maybe one day soon, they will have a baby so Maddie will have a friend when we all hang out together.

Maddie Loves her Bottles!

When I was in the Woodlands with my family, we decided to introduce formula to Maddie. We were out shopping and she would get hungry and i would end up in the dressing room nursing her for 30 min. I love my daughter but i love to shop too and that was just getting in my way. So, we found the right formula and mixed it up and she LOVED IT! I was thrilled.....we were able to shop and when she gets hungry, we heat the bottle and she eats. Giving her formula and more breastmilk bottles has been wonderful for me because it frees me up to do other things. Feeding her is such a special time and i have a few pictures of the people who have fed her. ( Les does the 2 or 3 am. feeding for me so i can sleep so....i don't have a picture of him feeding her that late. He might not want you to see him half awake)

Continue to look for more Maddie Feeding pictures....if you want to come feed her a bottle just come over. I would love for you to feed her and she really enjoys being fed by people who love her.

A Little Late---Father's Day Pictures

Les was so excited to see his family last sunday when Maddie and I finally arrived home. It was a long fussy 3 hour trip in the car. She was ready to stretch out and play with her daddy on the floor. Maddie was only 5 weeks old when this was taken and she can already hold up her head and push her body up with her little arms. We can't believe how strong she is for being so young.

After we got home, Les opened his first Father's Day gifts from Maddie. She did such a good job shopping at Academy for her daddy. She picked out a putt n' return for Les to practice putting his golf balls and a golf practice net which is now set up in our backyard. Then she remembered to give him some golf balls to play with too. Les had a good first father's day with his new baby girl.

Maddie's Trip to Houston

Maddie went on her first long car ride trip to Houston. Mom rode with me to Houston which was nice because Maddie was fussy. We think she had a tummy ache. We stayed in The Woodlands for the week and we went shopping, out to eat, and visited with family friends. Mom spoiled us while we were there. She took care of Maddie in the morning so i could sleep. She bathed her, dressed her and loved on her the whole week. It was wonderful.

Maddie got to meet Uncle Parker and he sniffed her a lot. He didn't know what to think of this little person who was staying at his house.

Aunt Rae Rae, Buddy, Maddie and Nana are posing for the family portrait at Nana's house. Maddie was very tired after her trip in the car. She has such a big yawn for a little girl.

Maddie was one month old when this was taken. I can't believe how much she has grown and changed. She looks so stinkin' cute in this little outfit with her pink bow. She didn't seem to mind the bow which is a good thing.

Papa was traveling all week and finally made it home to hold Maddie. He looks pretty happy holding his granddaughter and Maddie has her hand up to tell Momma that she has had enough of the pictures. We can't help but take pictures of her.

Maddie with her cousin, Chloe

Les' family (mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, and neice) came to visit us the same weekend we had the outdoor concert. They were here on vacation and to see Maddie. Chloe is our neice and she is 2 1/2 years old. They live in Midland and don't get to see us as often as we would like. Chloe got to see her cousin and they took pictures together in matching dresses that Mimi bought them. They look so adorable. Chloe and Maddie will love playing together when we all visit.

Maddie 1st River Experience

Les played a venue on the Guadalupe River which was a big outdoor show with other bands. The Randy Rogers Band hosted the event so we went early and showed off our beautiful little girl. It was seriously like 100 degrees outside but Maddie slept through the entire show with all the loud music.
Before Les played we went to the river to cool off our feet. We decided to let Maddie's little toes touch the 67 degree water. We captured her reaction after she felt the water. Poor baby...one day she will love the river.

ITS THE GIRLS AT THE RIVER.....WE ARE NOT GETTING IN THE RIVER BECAUSE ITS TOO COLD!
NANA AND PAPA ARE ENJOYING THE RIVER WITH THEIR GRANDDAUGHTER. THEY LOOK TOO YOUNG TO BE GRANDPARENTS.
THE LAWLESS FAMILY FIRST PORTRAIT AT THE RIVER. WE WILL BE FLOATING THE RIVER NEXT YEAR WITH MADDIE. SHE WILL LEARN TO LOVE THE RIVER EACH SUMMER LIKE HER MOMMA AND DADDY DO.

MADDIE LOVES TO PUT HER HAND UP IN AUNT RAE RAE'S FACE....SHE IS GIVING HER FIVE. SUCH A CUTE PICTURE!

MADDIE IS ENJOYING BEING HELD BY HER MIMI AT THE HOT CONCERT. THEY LOOK CUTE IN THEIR TURQUOISE. WE WISH MIMI LIVED CLOSER TO US!

Maddie's Photo Shoot

Maddie went to see Shelby Lane today for her photo shoot. She brought three dresses and my baby blanket. We dressed her in a long white dress first that is from Great Mawmaw, and took pictures of her in a wicker basket. That one is shown below and we took some of the three of us. I was holding her and Les was standing beside me. Maddie then decided to fuss and we had to take a short break so she could eat. I think she didn't like changing clothes and being carried around. Maddie's birth announcement will orginate from some of these pictures. We would like to have one of our family and then one of her alone. We will decide on the birth announcement after the proofs come in. We still can't believe that this is our family. We are so happy!

We then put her in a Feldman pink dress that is from Nana and Papa. She looked like a big girl in her pink dress. We posed for our family picture with Les holding her and me standing by his side. Les wore a pale blue shirt with stripes and i had on a white shirt. Since Maddie was cooperating and not fussing we continued on and took some of just Maddie and Daddy then Mommy and Maddie. The pictures are going to be amazing.

Lastly, Shelby had us posed with Maddie in some photos of her unclothed. She had fallen asleep by now so she didn't pose an argument as we held her. Les and I were both dressed in black and I held her while we both looked at her. We then took some of just Les holding her with her feet on his chest. It was so sweet! Then Shelby took some of me holding her on my chest with her head on my shoulder. They are simple poses but they are so beautiful with the lightening and camera that Shelby uses. We can't capture these pictures with just our camera.

Enjoy the pictures of Maddie and our family below. The real pictures will be ready to view in a couple of weeks. We are really happy with the results from the shoot today.

A Special Day!

Today is June 4 and it is a special day for the Lawless Family. Les and I have been married for two years today. It has been an amazing two years in which we have done and experienced SO MUCH! I can't believe that we have been married for two years and we now have a beautiful little girl and a great life together. I would have never thought we would be so blessed. For our anniversary we gave each other Maddie, who is three weeks old today. Also, we gave each other a screen door for our back door which has a doggie door in it too for Buddy. I know we are getting too settled in our marriage because we are giving each other things for our house. We love to sit outside and we don't want the flies in the house. Aunt Dee Dee suggested it and we are excited to have it.

Today is also important because Maddie is now three weeks old. Time is flying by and we are all adjusted at our house now. We love being a family and Maddie is getting used to going out to eat, shopping, riding around town and going to see her Daddy play. We just put her in her carseat and go. She is a great baby.

This is a picture of us at lunch today. We went to a place in Gruene and sat outside and had margaritas. Maddie slept through the entire meal.

This is Maddie and Buddy hanging out on her blanket last night. Buddy is getting used to having her around. He kept sneaking up on her and finally laid down next to her while she kicked around. He is a bit jealous and shows us that by chewing up her pacifiers. We say that he is our toddler who is adjusting to the new baby.

Great Grandparents Came to Visit

Great Mawmaw and Great Pawpaw came to visit their first great grandchild. They thought she was beautiful and couldn't quit holding her. Mawmaw made lots of yummy food and left us some to munch on this week. Pawpaw spent time holding Maddie and taking her outside to swing. It reminds me of when we were young and Pawpaw took us out on his deck to look at the birds or swing. They spent the weekend with us and we really enjoyed visiting with them. Here are some pictures from this weekend. Enjoy!
