So Funny...

Maddie just put her pink bucket on her head and kept walking around the house laughing.

Then, she took the tupperware bowl and did the same thing. She thought she was so funny. Les and I were histerical.

Maddie put the bowl on my head and one on her head. She is our cheap entertainment!!

Daddy got the bucket on his head too. He kept saying we are "bucket heads." I promise that there was NO wine consumed on this crazy night. Hahaha!!!

Music Baby

Maddie loves to go out and listen to music. I know it sounds silly because she just a little toddler but, she loves music. We have music on all the time at home and in the car plus look who her daddy is. Luckily, where we live there is so much live music on every day of the week so sometimes we head out to dance and relax. Look at our little music baby!

Maddie is out dancing at Gruene Hall, her favorite place to dance!

Just chillin' and being happy at Adobe Verde while listening to a local band play.

Nana is holding Maddie up to see Zack playing.

Gemaw and Gepaw's visit

Gemaw and Gepaw came down to visit us last week and stayed for a few days. They wanted to spend some time with Maddie and of course Rae and Me too. They brought lots of yummy food and Gemaw baked cookies. They watched Maddie while i went to work for two days and they had a great time with her. They took her outside on the deck then played doll house in her room. She kept them very busy but they loved every minute of it. I got to hear about it each day when i got home from work. Gepaw took Maddie walking each day in her stroller and in fact she still wants to go on walks each day when we get home from school. I think Gepaw spoiled her a little...hehe.

Here is Maddie after enjoying her supper in which she "dip" in the ketchup. Yeah...she loves to dip her food.
Gemaw celebrated 30 years with Mary Kay while she was visiting us. All of the family went in and got her a beautiful Pandora bracelet. Congratulations!Gemaw and Gepaw reading with Maddie before she heads to bed. Gemaw was helping Aunt Rae Rae give Maddie a bubble bath.

Maddie was enjoying Gemaw's good casserole. She is eating so good with her little spoon too!

16 month check up

Well Friends and Family, I am sorry its been so long since we have posted some pictures. We are doing great and Miss Maddie is growing and talking so much. We are so amazed at all the words she says now.

Maddie can say: momma, dada, bubba for buddy, wawa for water, yeah ( which means yes but it so funny when she says it!), no, wae wae for Rae Rae, nana, papa and we are working on saying mimi and opa. She is talking so much and she actually is interacting with us now. We can have a little conversation now which is great so I know what she needs or wants. She will tell me or show me.
Nana & Maddie waiting for the doctor to come in!

While, Nana and Papa were waiting out the hurricane, Maddie had a check up at the peditrican so Nana got to come with us. What a treat except she had to hold Maddie down to get her shots which is never fun. Here is Miss Priss looking out the window at all the cars and saying "buh bye" to them. She is getting so tall and skinny from running around all the time. I can't believe she is already 16 months! The doctor came in and asked Maddie where her eyes, ears, mouth, hair, and nose were and she was able to show the doctor all of them. The doctor went over a few things with us like making sure she was walking okay, sleeping through the night, not taking a bottle anymore and about the new temper fits she is throwing. It was informative and then she got the awful shots. :(

She is weighing about 20 lbs. and is 26 1/4 in. long and she is still very petite for her size but thats okay. She is growing just fine and we go back in a few months for her 18 month check up!

Just a Sunday Afternoon

Sundays at the Lawless house is very quiet and low key. We don't do very much because Les is finally home and we just have family day. This Sunday, Maddie and I decided to watch girl tv shows in our bedroom while Daddy watched football in the living room. We got up in the bed and shared a snack and watched tv. She is going to be my best friend, the days are just beginning that she will hangout with me like a big girl. I love my Maddie time!

Maddie is just having a bite of an oatmeal cookie on Momma's bed.
I came in the living room to see what Les and Maddie were doing and she was riding around the living room on his back. She was laughing and holding on to his shirt. It was a fun ride for Maddie.
Aww...this is my favorite picture. I was taking the pictures of Les and Maddie when she just put her head down on his back. It was so cute and priceless. She is beginning to love the camera!!

Labor Day Weekend!

Over Labor Day weekend, Mimi, Opa, Aunt Kristi, Uncle Curt and Chloe all came to our house to see us. The big girls went shopping at La Cantera while the guys watched the little girls. We cooked dinner out on the deck and watched Chloe and Maddie play dress up and babies. It was a very relaxing weekend.
On Sunday, we took the girls to Jumping Jym which is a whole room of inflatable climbing toys. Chloe immediately took off running for the slides and started climbing. Maddie on the other hand wasn't too happy about the loud noise of the air blowing into the toys. She didn't know how to jump so it scaried her. She cried for about the first 30 min. then slowly got warmed up to playing a little. I got a few pictures of her first trip to the Jumping Jym.
That night, Les played out at the Horseshoe on the river so we all went out there for an unbelievable concert. Maddie loved watching Dada play drums and dancing on the side stage. All the band babies were there hanging out so it was a real family adventure. We had a great time and hope you enjoy our pictures of our weekend.

Maddie and Chloe were having a lunch break while watching some cartoons.

Maddie wasn't too sure about climbing through the tunnel.

Maddie started getting brave and began walking to me!

Sliding down the slide to Daddy!

Maddie was sitting in the jumping area for little kids but still wasn't sure about this place. She played with the colored balls a little and jumped some with Les.

Just the family hanging out before the show and Chloe was getting sleepy.....

Its the whole gang on the side stage and notice Miss Maddie is not too happy about being held at the moment.

Maddie started school in the big girl room on August 18. She got moved up to the 18 month old room early because she was getting too big for the infant room. She was biting other kids in her old room and the teacher said she was getting bored. I was excited for her to move up but it seemed like such a big room for her. There is lots of climbing blocks, small kitchen set, reading corner, table to eat and lots of new big girl toys. They go outside twice a day and nap for about 2 hours too. We got her a new little backpack and Mimi got her new shoes for school too.

All ready for her first day of school in the new big girl room!

Oh that grin with the missing teeth.

Mimi got her little leather keds, they are so cute and she loves her new "sshh".
She was so excited to be wearing her backpack and new shoes that she kept dancing around the kitchen. She has been in there for about a week and she is doing great! She is growing and learning so much now. They do about two art projects a day and she comes home with little papers for us. Its so cute and they have a curriculum they follow each week so she is learning like she would in a preschool. She loves going there and is exhausted at the end of each day!

Out last hoorah's for the summer!

Our summer was awesome! We were able to go to Destin for a week, Nana & Papa's for a few weeks, Mimi & Opa's for a few days and watch Rae graduate!!! It was such a fun summer with Maddie and I am having a hard time going back to work and leaving her a daycare even though she went off and on all summer. She has grown so much over the summer. She is now sleeping about 12 hours a night, eating everything we are eating, no bottles but still taking a pippy but only at nap time. She is running, talking more and loves playing dress up with braclets and necklaces. Thanks to cousin Chloe who spent lots of time with Maddie this summer teaching her all the fun things about dressing up. Maddie is our world and we can't believe how much she has changed. Take a look at our pictures!!

Maddie is giving Gigi a bit of cookie while we were waiting for Rae to graduate!

Maddie was playing in Gemaw's lap with her toys and laughing at Gepaw!

Aunt Rae Rae and Maddie, so sweet....
Its the family but Les is missing...:(

Aunt Rae and Me at her graduation party!

Mimi and Opa brought Maddie this playhouse that was an extra so we are really enjoying it. As you can see, Aunt Rae Rae is in the house and playing with the kids. Maddie and Damien play in this house like crazy. They go in and out then open and shut the shutters. It is pure entertainment for them. Obviously, Aunt Rae Rae loves playing in it too! Hahaha....
All the band babies went to Landa Park to swim while the Daddies were gone and Maddie decided to have a short snack. She found a new snack she is in love with and wouldn't put the box down to go swim. She loves to eat! Oh moo...
Aunt Rae Rae and Justin wanted to take Maddie on the train for a quick ride but she was tired from swimming so she was a bit fussy. When the train came back she was asleep. She might have to ride it again and stay awake to see it all again!

That is all folks! Hope you had a great summer like we did!!

Randy Rogers Show!

Saturday night, Penny, Hannah, Jack, Maddie and I went to the Randy Rogers Band concert in Austin. It was a blast! We were able to go early and eat dinner at the restaurant then Maddie danced around with all the other little kids. Before our guys played, we went backstage and visited with the other band people. Maddie fell asleep on Aunt Penny's shoulder but she woke up right when our guys went on stage. She has never seen them in concert like this before because she is usually home with a babysitter because they play so late. She couldn't quite figure out why Les was playing and not with us. She kept pointing saying "dada"??? It was so cute then she danced around to the music playing.

We had so much fun with the Bennetts too! They were in town for a few days and we got to show them around the hill country. We went to Gruene and shopped around. It was fun and relaxing for all of us. We just wish they lived closer so Maddie could see them more often. Thank you guys for coming and seeing us at our house. We loved spending time with you and can't wait to see you again soon!

The Bennett Gang hanging out at the RRB Show!

Maddie is pointing at Dada and squealing very loudly!

Moo is dancin' at the show on the big stage! Woo Hoo!!!!

Practicing her dancing before the show begins!

Maddie had fun at the show and below is a short video i took on my camera. She is squealing and pointing when she sees Les on stage. She gets so excited to see Dada playing the drums and we had to watch her so she wouldn't run out on the stage to see him. Hope you enjoy it!
