Maddie started school in the big girl room on August 18. She got moved up to the 18 month old room early because she was getting too big for the infant room. She was biting other kids in her old room and the teacher said she was getting bored. I was excited for her to move up but it seemed like such a big room for her. There is lots of climbing blocks, small kitchen set, reading corner, table to eat and lots of new big girl toys. They go outside twice a day and nap for about 2 hours too. We got her a new little backpack and Mimi got her new shoes for school too.

She was so excited to be wearing her backpack and new shoes that she kept dancing around the kitchen. She has been in there for about a week and she is doing great! She is growing and learning so much now. They do about two art projects a day and she comes home with little papers for us. Its so cute and they have a curriculum they follow each week so she is learning like she would in a preschool. She loves going there and is exhausted at the end of each day!

Out last hoorah's for the summer!

Our summer was awesome! We were able to go to Destin for a week, Nana & Papa's for a few weeks, Mimi & Opa's for a few days and watch Rae graduate!!! It was such a fun summer with Maddie and I am having a hard time going back to work and leaving her a daycare even though she went off and on all summer. She has grown so much over the summer. She is now sleeping about 12 hours a night, eating everything we are eating, no bottles but still taking a pippy but only at nap time. She is running, talking more and loves playing dress up with braclets and necklaces. Thanks to cousin Chloe who spent lots of time with Maddie this summer teaching her all the fun things about dressing up. Maddie is our world and we can't believe how much she has changed. Mimi and Opa brought Maddie this playhouse that was an extra so we are really enjoying it. As you can see, Aunt Rae Rae is in the house and playing with the kids. Maddie and Damien play in this house like crazy. They go in and out then open and shut the shutters. It is pure entertainment for them. Obviously, Aunt Rae Rae loves playing in it too! Hahaha....
All the band babies went to Landa Park to swim while the Daddies were gone and Maddie decided to have a short snack. She found a new snack she is in love with and wouldn't put the box down to go swim. She loves to eat! Oh moo...
Aunt Rae Rae and Justin wanted to take Maddie on the train for a quick ride but she was tired from swimming so she was a bit fussy. When the train came back she was asleep. She might have to ride it again and stay awake to see it all again!

Randy Rogers Show!

Saturday night, Penny, Hannah, Jack, Maddie and I went to the Randy Rogers Band concert in Austin. It was a blast! We were able to go early and eat dinner at the restaurant then Maddie danced around with all the other little kids. Before our guys played, we went backstage and visited with the other band people. Maddie fell asleep on Aunt Penny's shoulder but she woke up right when our guys went on stage. She has never seen them in concert like this before because she is usually home with a babysitter because they play so late. She couldn't quite figure out why Les was playing and not with us. She kept pointing saying "dada"??? It was so cute then she danced around to the music playing.

We had so much fun with the Bennetts too! They were in town for a few days and we got to show them around the hill country. We went to Gruene and shopped around. It was fun and relaxing for all of us. We just wish they lived closer so Maddie could see them more often. Thank you guys for coming and seeing us at our house. We loved spending time with you and can't wait to see you again soon!

Maddie had fun at the show and below is a short video i took on my camera. She is squealing and pointing when she sees Les on stage. She gets so excited to see Dada playing the drums and we had to watch her so she wouldn't run out on the stage to see him. Hope you enjoy it!

Maddie loves to dance whenever there is music playing! She starts to bounce then does her hands up in the air and this was the other night when we were suppose to be going to bed. She had her lovey ready to get in her bed but the music started playing and she had to dance a little. It is so cute, we crack up laughing everytime she starts dancing. She is becoming such a little girl!!

Houston Aquarium

After our trip to Florida, we stayed in Houston for a few days before I flew with Maddie to see Mimi and Opa.  While we were there, we took Maddie to the Aquarium.  We had a great time seeing all the fish or "sshh" as Maddie calls them.  She would point and say "Wow, sshhh!"  It was so cute!  We walked around looking at all the fish, then ate lunch and then got to ride the carousel for the first time.  Daddy volunteered to ride with her since i am not much of a carnival riding kind of person.  Then, she played in the water fountains and got all wet but she loved it! We quickly changed her clothes and hopped on the train which rode through the shark tank.  That was interesting and Maddie didn't know what to think of the train ride.  She sat very still in my lap the whole ride.  Finally, we headed home after a fun day at the Aquarium!

My family booked a condo in Destin, Florida for a week and Les was able to come for about four days. Aunt Rae Rae flew in for a few days and Great Mawmaw and Great Pawpaw came to the beach too for a few days. It was a great trip despite the first two days we were dodging rain showers but hey we were there at the beach. We went out to lunch and played with Maddie during the rain showers. After the rain, the days were beautiful!! Maddie LOVED the beach so much. She didn't really understand what the sand was but then she began to play. :) She had so much fun playing at the beach. Aunt Rae Rae flew in to hangout at the beach with us. We are so glad she came too! She is such a great Aunt to Maddie. She plays with her in the sand and walks around the restaurants so we can eat. Because all Maddie wants to do is walk!!!

Nana & Papa bought Maddie a little pool for the beach so she was able to swim and play in the sand. She loved it and it made it more fun for us too!

What a wonderful time we had at the beach! Thank you Nana & Papa for everything you did to make Maddie's first time at the beach so special. Its such a family tradition for us and we hope to continue it for the years to come! We love you!

Sea World!

Mimi, Opah, Aunt Kristi, Uncle Curt and Chloe came down to New Braunfels to stay with us for a week to have a family vacation. We went shopping while the guys went floating down the river then we all went out to The Randy Rogers Band weekend event at the Lake. My parents and Rae came too and we listened to an acoustic show then went back for the Randy Rogers Band show the next night. Unfortunately, my pictures of those shows are at home and I am in Houston for a few days so....stay tuned for those pics. Meanwhile, we also went to Sea World as a family and took fun pictures there so take a look!

We ate a little lunch then headed to cool off in the pool area. The boys went down the slides and we were on "kid duty" at the baby area. Just a picture of "The Girls!" Uh-Oh! Moo fell asleep before she even got to see Shamu. Opah had to sit outside with her and miss the show. :( She was so tired from all the walking and swimming!!

After getting cooled off, we went to see Shamu or as cousin Chloe says "shampoo!" So cute except Maddie fell asleep and missed the show but Uncle Curt, Chloe and Les sat in the splash zone. Look at the two heads with baseball caps...yep...that is them!!!
