Swimming!

Maddie loves water so we put her in Nana & Papa's pool to swim and she cried because it was too cold. Then we heated the hottub and she got all nice and warm and floated around in her ladybug float. SHe is going to be a water baby this summer for sure!

Maddie loved swimming in the big hot tub and can't wait for summer when she can swim in the big girl pool! Keep checking our blog because i am going to post a video of her swimming!!!!

New Presents for Maddie

The birthday month continues..... Maddie got her birthday presents from Momma & Daddy! We couldn't wait to give her the new toys and Daddy wanted to get them put together for her party. Take a look!

Maddie got a little koala climber playset for the backyard. It is so cute in person because its just her size. We have to help her get up the stairs and slide but she will love being able to play outside during the summer too!Momma & Maddie at her kid size picnic table with an umbrella! She can eat her birthday cake out here too!Nana made a surprise visit to our area and was able to come see Maddie moo. She brought Maddie cute birthday decorations and this party princess hat for her to wear on her birthday. Thank you Nana!!

Maddie got another early present from Mimi and Opa. Its the little Pottery Barn Kids chair. With her name on it too! Mimi wanted her to have it now so she could be using it. Maddie loves to climb in and out of her big girl chair. She squeals each time she gets in the chair and bangs on the sides of it. We just love it. Thank you Mimi and Opa!!!!

I can't believe our baby is about to be a year old.... this time last year she was in my tummy! What a blessing she is to our life. We thank God each day for her!

Early birthday for Maddie

Maddie got to open her first of many birthday presents. I know her birthday is a few weeks away but Mimi, Opa, Aunt Krisiti, Chloe and Aunt Gail were in town for the weekend. They wanted to see Maddie open her gifts from them and eat cake! She got to open her presents with the help of cousin Chloe but no cake. :( Maddie began running a high fever on Saturday night and we never had cake. We sat at the doctors office on Saturday night instead only to hear it was a virus with no rhyme or reason. Oh well....she got darling outfits and new toys so she was happy!

Waiting to open her birthday presents from Aunt Kristi and Chloe!

I think Aunt Rae Rae loves the new present. Its a plate in which you can put a drawing or picture in the bottom for them to look at. So cute!

Maddie with her new toys from Cousin Chloe. Thank you Chloe and Aunt Kristi for my presents. :)After the late Saturday night doctor visit, Daddy flew home early Sunday to take care of Maddiemoo. They took a nap together while Momma and Aunt Gail got to run out shopping.

It was a fun weekend with lots of family! We loved it and just wished Maddie hadn't felt bad because we missed out on cute pictures and more fun times. Oh well....they are coming back in June for us to go to Sea World. Maddie will love seeing the animals. Thank you all for your presents and we love you!

Birthday party

Maddie was invited to a birthday party for our neighbors twins who turned 3. We went to Mcdonalds to have play time and eat cake. Maddie loved the play area where she could crawl around and then the fun time came.....CAKE!

Playing with Aunt Rae Rae in the McDonalds play area....such a big girl.

Just testing out the cake icing....yum....this looks good!

Goodness...this is great! I can hold the whole piece in my hand and eat it!

Way too long!

Time is flying by with Maddie! She is changing so much each week. I can't believe that our little girl is almost 1 year old!!! Just a quick update on Maddie then i will post new pictures, well old ones since its been so long.

Maddie's new tricks and milestones:
* She is pulling up on everything and moving from one object to another
* She is eating table food and drinking juice out of a sippy cup. ( Loves it)
* She is saying "bubu" which could mean bottle, bath or Buddy no "dadda" yet :(
* She is standing on her own for a least a few minutes!!!
* Maddie will imitate you, its hilarious! You stomp your feet and she will do the same a few min. later

Maddie has another ear infection in both ears. We can't seem to get rid of these infections. She had the same thing right before spring break so.... we are a little tired of them but oh well. She is feeling better now and didn't have to miss any school! Maddie is loving her school and waves bye to me when i leave in the mornings. Its so cute!

Well, here is some random pictures from Easter & Spring Break. Sorry they are so late. I have been busy with work and Maddie. We love you!

Little Rocking Chair

This little rocker is so darling and there is a neat history behind it too. This rocker was made for my grandfather, Poppy as we called him, by his parents good friends. I know its confusing and kind of a long line to trace how we got the rocker. It was made around 1926 and its been passed on to each grandchild for them to use. Its the perfect size for a little girl and we have pictures of me in the little rocker when i was Maddie's age. She rocks in it and acts like she is a big girl. Thank you Gigi for lending us the rocker and maybe one day Maddie can let her children use it. Whew......that is hard to believe but let the generations continue!

Maddie Update!

I can't believe its been a month since i have written on my blog! Geez..where has the time gone. Well, lets see...Maddie began running a 102.6 fever a few days after my last post. Kiddie Koop called me so i took her to the doctor then they couldn't find anything so they sent me to the hospital to run test. I was very apprehensive about what was going on but i went as i was told. It was a traumatic day for the both of us. She screamed while they did a urine and blood test. I was crying and then we did chest x-rays only to find NOTHING! They said monitor her fever and call if anything changes. Mimi & Opah drove down here to keep Maddie so i could work and they stayed through the weekend. That Saturday, we went to see Daddy play the Austin Rodeo. Maddie was crawling all over the bus like a crazy girl! Check out the pictures.

Mimi & Opah showing Maddie her little chick that bounces around!

Maddie got an easter basket from Mimi & Opah, her favorite thing was chewing on the plastic eggs...go figure!

Mimi and Aunt Rae Rae hanging out at Chilis with Maddiemoo. We decided to not eat carnival food and headed out for real good food!Daddy loves to teach Maddie new things. This is one of their new tricks they are practicing. Drinking out of a straw and we think she can really get a little of it too. The whole family eating out at Chilis before the Austin Rodeo.

Maddiemoo keeping everyone entertained on the tour bus while we were waiting for the show. I don't think the band ever thought a baby would be crawling all over the bus and we were happy watching her too! :)Waiting for the show to start, sitting in the stands but we got impatient so we went and stood on the dirt. It was closer to the stage too! More fun!

Daddy up on the big screen for all the people to see. I was able to capture it on camera but its kinda hard to see but really awesome to see my husband on a big screen playing drums!!!!!!!!!

The Randy Rogers Band!

Momma & Aunt Rae Rae hanging out on the dirt watching the show!

On Sunday, Great Granny (GiGi) and Nana came over for the week to see Maddie and take care of her. Nana and I took Maddie to the doctor on Monday night and she had two ear infections so that is where the fever decided to settle. While i worked all week, Nana took care of Maddie and took care of my house. It was a great week for all of us. They got to see Maddie crawling around and pulling up on everything. We were able to snap a few pictures before they had to leave on Saturday.

Maddie out to lunch with Momma and Aunt Rae Rae. She is eating some table food such as bread, crackers, ham and some potatoes. She is loving it, just look at her face!

Papa came in town for one night to see Maddie before he headed out for work in Austin. He snapped a cute picture of Maddie getting a bath by Nana. She loves her bath time, we can't wait to see how she does in a pool.

GiGi and Maddie playing with a little toy kitten. GiGi had fun with Maddiemoo. We wish she lived closer. :)

The Four Generations! The girl generation continues on.... what a blessing! I love you all!!!

Momma & Maddie

Well, I think i can finally close this long update. Maddie is back on more medicine for the ears. We went to the doctor yesterday then did a few errands. She is becoming such a great shopper and I love each day with her. She is growing and doing new things which make me laugh so hard. What a blessing she is to our family, i never knew i could love someone so much as i do my daughter and husband too. :) We are heading to Houston for spring break and I will post some pictures from our week there. (Momma & Daddy are sneaking away to Lake Charles for a few days so Maddie will be extra spoiled at Nana & Papa's so watch for those stories too!) Have a great day! We love you!
