Cadence's Nursery

Here is the long awaited pictures of Cadence's nursery! I am not finished yet with the walls, so don't look at that part yet but the bedding is done and I am very happy with the outcome so far. She is going to love her room because we all love going in there with all the bright colors. It is so happy! The curtains were handmade by Nana and the lamp was all decorated by Nana too. What would i do without her? :)

Vacation Trips So Far....

Our first vacation of the summer after our trip to The Woodlands for the week was to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX. What an amazing place to go as a kid because it is geared for children and the parents go along for the fun. We stayed there for 2 nights and had a blast each day. Maddie became very comfortable swimming with a life jacket and going down the big slides by herself. That was a huge accomplishment from last year but she did it more once she saw Chloe going by herself. Its so good for her to see Cousin Chloe doing things then she wants to do them. Look at our pictures from our first vacation stop......Waiting to check in the hotel...Maddie was guarding the luggage for us and chillin' too!
This is a picture from the lobby of the inside part of the waterpark. This is where we spent most of our time because it had the kiddie area with slides for Maddie.
Outside there was a big pool and fountains that squirted up. Chloe decided to be silly in the water so Maddie followed right behind her. So funny....
Squirting the big fountain of water across the pool became Maddie's favorite thing to do outside in the big pool.
Maddie, Trinity & Mimi waiting for the nighttime story show to begin in the lobby. Mimi loved spending time with her grand-girls!!
Oohh.....Happy Early 4th of July! Mimi bought the girls matching swimsuits but Maddie couldn't wear hers yet because she is so tiny and the swimsuit was too big. :(

This is Maddie going down the big slide and Aunt Kristi caught her at the end she loved it too!
This is the rest of the family watching and laughing as Maddie comes flying down the slide for the first time!!
Mimi and Maddie squirting the big water off the boat at all the other kids.
Our vacation with the family was so fun and ended in New Braunfels with swimming and hanging out.

We loaded back up on Sunday and headed to Lake Charles with Nana, Papa, Aunt Rae Rae and Uncle Andrew for a few days since we couldn't make the trip all the way to the beach in Florida. We stayed at L'Auberge Du Lac and swam in the lazy river each day, took naps, gambled, lost some money and had a great time with the family!! The first full day we were there, the guys decided to rent a Cabana so we had a place to get out of the sun. We had a tv, fridge, table, loungers and fans...it was awesome!!
Maddie and Nana laying in the shade after swimming in the lazy river for hours....
Here is our really cool set up at the Cabana...this is the way to lay out by the pool!
Somebody is getting sleepy......
Maddie's favorite thing was to put on her life jacket and swim the lazy river. She thought she was so big and could float on her back too.
She is floating like her Granny!

Maddie had a great time at the "Big Hotel" as she called it! What a great place to vacation and i can't wait to go back and swim some more. Nana and Papa headed to the beach after this day and we all headed back to reality. It was a fun and relaxing time with both families and we are glad we got to spend time with everyone before Cadence makes her arrival and we are homebound for a little while. Happy Summer!!

Summer time!

Once i finished school on May 28, we headed to The Woodlands for the long weekend. It was Nana's birthday and Meredith graduated from high school plus all the family was in town so it was a perfect time to get away. The weekend was fun and we stayed through the week too for our 5 year anniversary and why go home when you can stay at Nana & Papa's house with a nice pool and plenty of shopping too. Mom and I shopped for Cadence's nursery and we found fabric to make her beautiful curtains and my bedding came in too! I was so excited and i will post pictures soon when i can upload them. It is BEAUTIFUL AND EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED! I am so happy with my choices. So, take a glimpse into our fun weekend and week at home.
Nana's Birthday Supper

Make a wish Nana.....
Well, this is a special picture because it is the family watching while Rae tries on her wedding dress so that is why its special. I am not posting any pics of any more wedding stuff but i loved this picture of everyone looking excitedly!!!
Maddie loves to have tea at nana's house with her real tea set she got from Nana for her 3rd birthday. She made Gmaw some tea and said, "cheers." So cute!
Nana, Papa & Maddie in the hottub
Gmaw gave Maddie this bag, hat, and sunglasses for her birthday and we dressed her all up. She looks so cute and big. Ready for the pool....:)
Jack and Hannah gave Maddie this fun watergun so Nana & Maddie were trying it out on Jack in the pool. I think the adults had more fun with this water gun than Maddie.

Oh goodness...here i am sporting the baby bump at 7 months along! Cadence does love to swim but i am not sure i like being in a swimsuit but oh well. She wins this battle.
The family is hanging out in the pool and trying to encourage Maddie to jump in!
Maddie & Aunt Penny during the volleyball game.
They played a very entertaining game of volleyball. Rae was playing but took a break to get a drink while the ball hit the water, haha...just pickin' Aunt Rae Rae.
4 Generations on the Wilson Side of the Family, forgive our appearances since we were in the pool all day and didn't fix up.
Our 5 year Anniversary Celebration Day! We went to Hotel ZaZa in Houston for the night and had supper together. It was very fun and romantic to get away thanks to Nana for keeping Maddie. We exchanged gifts that day too since we were celebrating early.
Can you guess what Les got for our anniversary?? I received a beautiful diamond necklace called, The Knot. I love it and wear it everyday!
Nana & I took Maddie to the dancin' water to play while the guys golfed. It was hot but she had fun chasing the water around.
It was a great vacation away and when we returned home, we got to meet Baby Izzy at the hospital then headed to Great Wolf Lodge on Tuesday so keep catching for those pictures too.
