Christmas in the Woodlands
Well, i guess i just don't learn until i am in the process of downloading the pictures and say, "oh no! They are all out of order!" So, my apologies again. :( But, this is the remainder of our Christmas holiday. We flew home from Midland on Christmas Eve to find a very dark house because the power was out and had been out for hours. So, we had supper by candlelight and cooked by candles so it was a very unique and fun Christmas Eve.
Santa came that night to Maddie and she got a tent, piano and baby doll stroller. She was so cute and excited! Aunt DeeDee, Uncle Dickie, Amber, Granny, Rae, Andrew, Nana & Papa were all there too to see the excitement on her face. We spent most of the day in our pj's opening presents and watching Maddie play! It was a great week spent in The Woodlands. :)
To end our time there, we celebrated my 28th birthday on the 28th of Dec. It was my golden birthday so that was so neat. I got wonderful gifts and an awesome supper with the family.
We are so blessed to have great families on both sides of our lives and we love everyone!
Christmas night we had our own worship service that turned into a dancing session. Maddie wanted to dance so she said, "Nana, its my turn." Then Papa danced with her while all the adults got tear eyed...
Nana gave Maddie a present early so she would have something new to play with while we ate supper. Good thing the power was back on for her to play.

Well, it seems that each time i post on my blog i forget that it post the pictures in the backwards order so just keep that in mind when you are looking at the pictures. We flew to Midland on Dec. 21 for a few days to see the family. Maddie loved playing with Chloe and Trinity was just adorable! She would follow the big girls around and watch them playing. We opened our presents there too then Kristi took the girls out to take pictures in their matching dresses. We also took a few of Maddie in her Christmas dress. The pictures are amazing and i was so glad we got to partake in the pictures. Thanks Aunt Kristi. :)
Maddie was making a gingerbread house at Aunt Kristi's house with Chloe's friends.

Mimi and Opa came in town to see Maddie and pick up all of our Christmas gifts to take back to Midland. They stayed the weekend so we went to Schlitterbahn Winter Wonderland to see all the lights! It was so awesome!! Oh, it was so cold there too you can see the jackets, hats and gloves on all of us. Then, we did some shopping and spent some quality time together. Enjoy all the pictures with the lights.
You should come see us next year and go the Schlitterbahn! Its so much fun!!!

The first Thursday in December, our town does a Wassilfest in which you go and sample different wassils while shopping under all the Christmas lights. Well, each year for some reason, we don't go but this year we went because Les was home. We met Rae and Andrew out there too. It was so cold that we had to go buy scarfs and gloves to bear the weather. Maddie loved being out among the 5,000 plus people walking the circle and drinking wassil. It was so festive and fun.
