Maddie's party at our house

On the morning of Maddie's birthday, we took her to breakfast at the bakery. Daddy takes her there on the days he keeps her home and they eat donuts and feed the birds. We ate donuts then went to the park to swing on the big swings. She really loved swinging! She has such a little dare-devil personality and I think she will really love to ride all the rides one day.

That evening we invited some of our neighbors and friends over to celebrate her birthday. It was fun watching all the kids run around the backyard and the adults got to visit. After playing, we headed inside to open presents and eat cake!!

The birthday celebration begins....

Maddie turned 1 on Wed. May 14. We started all the birthday celebrations on Mothers Day weekend in The Woodlands. The Great Grandparents were able to come down to see their greatgrandaughter turn 1. They were there for another birthday but that was a secret until Saturday night. Nana & Papa had a small celebration for her at the house where she went swimming in the big pool then got to open presents. She really enjoyed eating her birthday cake. Nana had the house all decorated with cute plates, decorations and matching balloons. Little did Nana know, we were planning a larger birthday party for her that would happen that night!!!! How exciting!!

Swimming!

Maddie loves water so we put her in Nana & Papa's pool to swim and she cried because it was too cold. Then we heated the hottub and she got all nice and warm and floated around in her ladybug float. SHe is going to be a water baby this summer for sure!

Maddie loved swimming in the big hot tub and can't wait for summer when she can swim in the big girl pool! Keep checking our blog because i am going to post a video of her swimming!!!!

New Presents for Maddie

The birthday month continues..... Maddie got her birthday presents from Momma & Daddy! We couldn't wait to give her the new toys and Daddy wanted to get them put together for her party. Take a look!

Maddie got a little koala climber playset for the backyard. It is so cute in person because its just her size. We have to help her get up the stairs and slide but she will love being able to play outside during the summer too!Momma & Maddie at her kid size picnic table with an umbrella! She can eat her birthday cake out here too!Nana made a surprise visit to our area and was able to come see Maddie moo. She brought Maddie cute birthday decorations and this party princess hat for her to wear on her birthday. Thank you Nana!!

Maddie got another early present from Mimi and Opa. Its the little Pottery Barn Kids chair. With her name on it too! Mimi wanted her to have it now so she could be using it. Maddie loves to climb in and out of her big girl chair. She squeals each time she gets in the chair and bangs on the sides of it. We just love it. Thank you Mimi and Opa!!!!

I can't believe our baby is about to be a year old.... this time last year she was in my tummy! What a blessing she is to our life. We thank God each day for her!

Early birthday for Maddie

Maddie got to open her first of many birthday presents. I know her birthday is a few weeks away but Mimi, Opa, Aunt Krisiti, Chloe and Aunt Gail were in town for the weekend. They wanted to see Maddie open her gifts from them and eat cake! She got to open her presents with the help of cousin Chloe but no cake. :( Maddie began running a high fever on Saturday night and we never had cake. We sat at the doctors office on Saturday night instead only to hear it was a virus with no rhyme or reason. Oh well....she got darling outfits and new toys so she was happy!

I think Aunt Rae Rae loves the new present. Its a plate in which you can put a drawing or picture in the bottom for them to look at. So cute!

It was a fun weekend with lots of family! We loved it and just wished Maddie hadn't felt bad because we missed out on cute pictures and more fun times. Oh well....they are coming back in June for us to go to Sea World. Maddie will love seeing the animals. Thank you all for your presents and we love you!

Birthday party

Maddie was invited to a birthday party for our neighbors twins who turned 3. We went to Mcdonalds to have play time and eat cake. Maddie loved the play area where she could crawl around and then the fun time came.....CAKE!
