Another cute video!

I finally got this video to upload. It didn't want to cooperate but its done and its Maddie crawling. She is really moving now and pulling up on the table, couch, and Buddy. Poor Buddy, he just looks at me with these sad eyes. She is getting Buddy's toys and pulling on him. Its cute how they play together. Well, enjoy this video too. :)

Maddie is mobile!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well the day has come that Maddie has become mobile. Yeah....it is an exciting time and busy time for mom and dad. We can't turn our back on her for a minute because she will be eating Buddy's toy or pulling over the magazine rack. Geez...its very busy but so much fun. She is showing her little personality and she is happier because she can move around. The video is a small glimpse of her moving around.

She went to the doctor today too and got a couple of needle pricks. She got tested for anemia and tuberculouis (not sure on the spelling :( She was all good though.

Maddie's new measurements:
Weighing: 16 lbs. 9 oz. (10% percentile)
Length: 27 1/2 in. long

Everything is right on track for her nine month check up. She is able to start eating some table food and she is now waving too. Its so cute. She waves "Hi" and "bye" and it makes you smile! :) Okay, check out our new video!!!!!
This video shows more of her talking and making all her new sounds and crawling too. She is growing so fast....

Trip to Lafayette & Mardi Gras!!!!!

Before we got the unexpected news about Linda, we packed up and headed to Lafayette to see our guys. The band was recording their new record in Maurice so we went to check out the property and the studio. It was just beautiful, the perfect example of south Louisiana. We had a great time hanging out there. We ate some cajun food and then went to Mardi Gras parades on Saturday and caught some beads. Maddie LOVED IT! Just check out the cute pictures!

Daddy decided to help Maddie crawl by showing her. Good Job Daddy!
Uncle Randy and Uncle Geoff listening to the new cuts of music.

The Lawless family hanging out at the studio.

After the studio we went to Prejeans to eat dinner. We got brave and gave Maddie a lemon to suck on and surprisingly she loved it! She would suck on it and then make this cute face with her lips sealed tightly. She would look up at Les and grin. We were histarical!

We all decided to get our faces painted for the Mardi Gras parades. It was spontaneous and fun!

The whole gang with their faces painted... crazy cajuns!

Check us out.....we look pretty funny!

Maddie is waiting for the parade to start, all bundled up with Hannah and Jack!

Enjoying the parade with Randy & Brooke!

Nana & Aunt Rae Rae lookin' cute with their faces painted!

Aunt Penny, Hannah & Maddie all bundled up for the parade.

Oh Papa..... I got my first pair of beads and they have rubber duckies on them. She got them on the first float too! Go Maddie!!!!

Happy Mardi Gras from the whole family!

Sad news....

While we were in Lousiana to see the band record their new record, Jan. 25- Jan. 27, my Aunt Linda was called to Heaven. She is my mom's sister and we were all very close to her. It was a shock because she had been feeling bad with fluid on her lungs but she got everything checked out and was put on medicine. She was called to Heaven by her father (Poppy) and God. We got the sad call on Sat. evening and since this happened our life has changed. We came home and went to Shreveport for the service and to be with our family. We loved her so much and she loved her life. We all feel a void in our life since she is gone. So, this is not an excuse but we have all slowed down our life and just spent time with family. I put all my blog posts and school work aside to be with my family. Just keep our family in your prayers and each day we find more comfort in knowing she is happier and she is in a heavenly place. We will see her again soon.....

Fun Times!

Welll, we have been very busy since Christmas. Les went to Colorado with the band to play for a week so me and Maddie spent some quality time together. We went over to Elizabeth's house to hang out and let the girls play while we got to visit. It was so much fun! We went to the outlet mall then grabbed dinner and rode around on her ATV on their property with all the animals. It was Maddie's first time to see a cow and donkey. We were able to snap a few pictures. Check us out on the ranch with the animals....

Hang on girls!
A few days after that, Les came home for a few days before they headed into the recording studio to begin working on a new record. Yea! While he was home, he hung Maddie's swing in the backyard. She loves to swing. I have a feeling that my child is going to be a daredevil. Oh goodness....
Daddy & Maddie
Priceless......
