Maddie went to the doctor on September 14. She was exactly 4 months old and Aunt Rae Rae went with us too. Maddie's appointment went well. We talked about her new formula and we told Dr. Howelton how much she loves it. She is a different baby with her new formula. Dr. Howelton said she can begin to eat rice cereal because she is taking 6 oz. at each feeding. We were so excited to begin introducing new food to her. Dr. Howelton also went over 4 month information such as: Maddie needs to put herself to sleep, face rear in the carseat, begin turning over soon, and holding her head up when laying on her tummy. She is doing good with going to sleep. At daycare, they said she is the easiest baby to get to sleep. She is sleeping through the night in her big girl bed too.

Maddie's is measuring in at: 12 lbs. 9 oz. and 24 inches long. Her doctor said she is a little underweight from her 2 month check up so we need to make sure she is eating every 3-4 hours. She will catch up soon!

Here is some pictures of Maddie eating her rice cereal for the first time. We captured it on video. She loved it but we were histerical because she kept spitting it back out. Her tongue would go in and out. She is figuring it out though. So cute!

Maddie is going to school!

Maddie started school on Friday, Sept. 7. Nana and Aunt Rae Rae took her for me because i was afraid I would cry. They dressed her up, gave her a bottle and dropped her off for the day. She went to school from 10 a.m. till about 3:30 p.m. I couldn't get over there fast enough on Friday afternoon. When i walked in to get her, she was sitting in a bouncy seat watching the little kids play. No pippy in her mouth and she wasn't fussing. I was amazed because in my head, i thought she would cry but she was SO HAPPY! She loves going to her new school. I cried a little when i got her but then she talked to me the whole way home and it just melted my heart. It was like she was telling me all about her day.

Kiddie Koop is the name of the daycare and they are wonderful with her. She has her own bed, basket and blankets. When you pick her up they give you a half sheet with her report for the day. It has on there when she ate, diapers, naps, and comments. I love getting that because it gives me a chance to see how her day went. Here is pictures of her first day of school.

Maddie and Mrs. Dee Dee

Maddie and I meet Mrs. Dee Dee each morning around 6:45 a.m. I get Maddie all settled for the day and visit for a few minutes with Mrs. Dee Dee then i head out to school. I love having Maddie at Kiddie Koop because she is taken care of and she is so happy. It will be a good year for us!

She was very happy today for about an hour then she went back to sleep. I love her age, which is almost four months. She is laughing, looking around and plays with her toys. Maddie's Tummy

Les and I took Maddie to the doctor on Monday, Aug. 27. Which was my first day of teaching too. It was a busy day for us but Maddie has been very unhappy after she eats and during her bottle. The doctor recommended we do an Upper GI on her. So we went across the street and had the test run. It was hard for me to watch her because she was screaming. But, we found out that she has a milk/soy allergy so she is on Nutramigen formula. She is now a different baby. Thank God!

Since i was talking about school, Maddie has been staying with Les on the first few days of the week and then Nana came the end of the week. She will start daycare next week. She is going to Kiddie Koop Enrichment Center. Its a family run daycare and several teachers take their children there too. I will let you know how it goes. She will be happy but i will be sad for the first few days.

That is all that is going on with us....sorry for writing so much so late. We are so busy with work and Maddie. Thank you for checking up on us. We love you all!

Out n' About

It is funny how your life changes when you have a baby. Such as leaving the house seems to take three times as long and you work around their schedule. Our life has changed but we still take Maddie out n' about quite often.

Its the girls out at Gruene Hall listening to Brian Keene. Fun Times!!

Maddie is enjoying the music while Daddy's is playing with her at Gruene Hall.

Me, Andrea, Maddie and Damien are out at Floores to watch the guys play a show. Maddie really wasn't too happy in this picture, i think it was time to eat.

This is how we rode down to the show at Floores. We rode with two carseats, two strollers, two diaper bags and three crazy girls. It was a fun road trip with the band babies. Thank goodness Rae was there to help us!

We did the samething the next day, Saturday, by going out to Gruene Hall to listen to Zack play. Both babies fell asleep as soon as we got into the Hall. We did get some attention from people because we had two babies that looked about the same age.

Momma & Maddie at Zack!

Dressing up Maddie

Now that Maddie is getting bigger, she is able to wear more "real clothes." Les is always wanting to put her in real clothes such as jeans, skirts and t-shirts. Since Maddie has received some really cute clothes and we can't help but dress her up. Take a look at our little model baby!

Maddie went to Daddy's show over Labor Day weekend in her mini-skirt and rhinestoned bubble with a crown on it. Rachel and I laughed so hard when we put her in her outfit. She is so little to be wearing a mini-skirt.

Here is Maddie in her mini-skirt, this picture was the first time she wore it. I was working at school while Nana and Aunt Rae Rae watched her. They dressed her up in her collared shirt and shoes. So adorable!

Aunt Rae Rae and Momma decided to go out shopping and to Gruene Hall to listen to some music. Maddie is in another cute outfit. Its plaid shorts with a swing top. We put on tiny flip flops but she kept kicking them off so we had to take them off for the day.

This is what we do with Maddie when we get her dressed each day, we play dress up!
