Maddie with her Great-Grandparents!

This was taken when we were in Shreveport to see the Great Grandparents. We were packing up to leave and Buddy was very worried. Nana put him up on the bed and he laid down next to Maddie. Buddy was thinking, "if i lay on Maddie they won't leave me because they take her everywhere!" Such a cute picture of my two children.

Maddie got a new baby doll at her little party. She was laughing and smiling at her baby doll which is so soft. We can't wait to play babies with her. That is all Rachel and I used to do when we were little.

Maddie's Week with Mimi & Opah

Mimi and Opah came down to spend time with Maddie and Opah built a deck with Les. Maddie was spoiled rotten the whole time they were here. Mimi and Opah live in Midland and don't get to see Maddie very often. The girls went shopping while the boys worked on the deck. We went to a concert, cooked dinner and just enjoyed being with Maddiebug. Look at all our pictures from the week. Hope you enjoy them!

Mimi and Aunt Rae Rae were singing to Maddie at Rolling Oaks. We went there to see No Justice play and the guys hit golf balls at the driving range.

The guys finished the deck just in time for us to put up the new furniture and enjoy the new deck. It is so big and beautiful! We are thrilled to have more space to entertain. In fact, we had a bar-b-que that night it was complete with the band family and friends.
Hanging out on the deck with our friends and the guys are playing washers behind us in the yard. It was a fun night!

Mimi and Opah will be missed very much. We really enjoyed the week with them because it was so relaxing and it gave us a chance to visit. Maddie will miss seeing them too. We love you and thank you for coming to our house!

Update about Miss Maddie

Maddie has been to Shreveport to visit her great grandparents and their friends. We left on Thursday and came home on Sunday. Maddie did good in the car because Aunt Rae Rae rode in the backseat with her. She entertained her with books, talking and gave her bottles. Here are a few pictures of her visiting with everyone. I will post more as i receive them.....

Amber was trying to give her a bottle but she wanted to be held instead.....Aunt Rae Rae was there to love on her too.

Great Aunt Linda got to meet and hold Maddie for the first time. She didn't want to put her down the whole time we were there. I think she really likes Miss Maddiebug.

Oh Great Granny....I am so glad to be here and out of my car seat!

We left Great Granny's house and went to Great Mawmaw's and Great Pawpaw's where we stayed for the weekend. They were so excited to see Maddie and I don't think they breathed for the first minute they saw her. They have not seen Maddie since she was three weeks old.

While we were in Shreveport, Mawmaw hosted a Sip N' See for her friends to come meet Maddie. She made cake, punch and placed pictures of Maddie around for the guests to see. Maddie did so good during her first party.

Mimi and Opah came in town on Sunday evening to see Maddie and build a deck. Yes, Les and Opah are building us a deck in the backyard in the August heat. Les is off for the week so they are working hard. Mimi is watching Maddie while i attend workshops and work in my classroom. She is giving Maddie her night bottle and then Maddie should sleep through the night.

This is Day 1 of the deck building.....looking good so far. I will post pictures as they complete their hard work. Keep in touch with us....we love you all.
